Halibut (All-Depth Days)

There are only a few select weekends in spring and summer that we are allowed to fish for Halibut past the 40 fathom line. The bag limit is one halibut. Fisherman must be in possession of a fishing license and Halibut tag.

2016 Dates: There are only two remaining 2016 dates for all depth halibut, August 5th and 6th.

We use electric reels as we fish deep waters to find the best fish.  Electric reels take the pain from a bait check after a nibble on the halibut rig.

Salmon Season

Summer Fin Clipped Coho Season is Open Now through Sunday, August 7, 2016.  Book now for your favorite weekends.

Chinook is Open Now!  We use downriggers to reach these large, hard fighting fish.

The Coho Non-Selective Season in September starts Saturday, September 3, 2016 – September 30, 2016 or until the quota is met.  You get to keep either hatchery clipped or non-clipped fish!

Tuna Season

Usually Tuna arrive on the Oregon coast around July and last through October.  This year albacore returned off Oregon in June.  Large numbers have been caught, so book now to reserve your weekend.

New as of last year were fly fishing trips for albacore tuna.  Fly fishers are very particular as to their gear and so they usually supply their own rods, reels and flies.  I do have four 12 wt. rigs ready to go as last year we broke several 12 wt. rods on the larger tuna.  This year, as of July 13, there has been a 37 pound albacore caught off Oregon.  I wonder how large they will be by August and September.

Book now before your favorite dates are taken.
